APPLICATION TRIALS / MELT-ON JOURNAL

Before switching adhesives: plan a useful production trial

Compare performance on your own materials and line before making the final choice.

Define what success means

Agree which results matter for your application before starting: bond performance, line operation and the finished product’s end-use requirements.

Use representative materials

Evaluate the intended substrates, coatings and production conditions. A trial should help establish compatibility and identify changes needed on the line.

Record the conditions and results

Keep a trial record of the materials, adhesive grade, equipment settings and observed results. Include relevant storage or end-use evaluations in the agreed plan.

Review with technical support

Discuss results before approving a change. Trial outcomes are specific to the materials and conditions evaluated; do not assume the same outcome for every application.
